Mountie Circa 1960 Embossing: Drewry Brewery, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Drewery’s first originated in Winnipeg, Manitoba where it was known as Drewry’s Lake of the Woods Brewery. Edward Drewry first travelled to Winnipeg by canoe via the Red River in 1875. The brand originated in 1877.

Drewry adhered to a “buy local” mentality which generated a lot of respect from the community and aided in the local economy. The Mountie bottle was ordered out of circulation by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) for trademark infringement in the 1960s.

PURE CANADIAN BEESWAX Our candles are hand-poured using pure Canadian beeswax. No fancy equipment, just steady hands and an eye for perfection. And of course, all of our ingredients are sustainably taken from small, Canadian beekeepers who respect their bees and the environment. We do not add paraffin or synthetic fragrance to our pure beeswax candles. The subtle, naturally occurring honey-like aroma comes from the beeswax itself and may vary from batch to batch. Because beeswax is a natural product, slight variations in colour and aroma are normal and are part of the character of genuine beeswax. Each candle is hand-poured by Pioneer Spirit in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. CANDLE CARE Always place candles on a suitable heat-resistant holder or surface. Keep the wick trimmed to approximately 1/4 inch and keep burning candles away from drafts, children, pets and flammable materials. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
