Circa 1880s

Embossing: “L. Rose & Co.” very extensive and beautiful leave and floral embossing.

The earliest Cordials (or fruit juices as we know them today) were derivatives of lime juice used extensively in the British Royal Navy from 1867 to prevent scurvy.

Roses Lime Juice bottles are sure to be found in most early dumps especially where British soldiers camped during the Boer War.

Measuring: 10.5” tall x 2.25” diameter (round)
